A true to the cuisine experience in a comfortable dining room. I walked in for a late lunch after being scared off by other more trendy local restaurants and what claimed to be an Irish pub but the first menu item was an eggroll. It was a welcome relief to be handed a menu in a German restaurant that was exclusively and unapologetically German food. The good: great menu of hearty German food schnitzel, sausages, the works and Solid service throughout. The dining room and bar areas was a comfortable retreat to catch a soccer or just grab a beer.

First German restaurant I think...the lamb chop meal was delicious all around! The waitress was the best I've had lately. Service was perfect. Complimentary bread and butter is always a win lol for me. I recommend this restaurant for sure! Go, enjoy!

Interesting experience here! We arrived around 7 pm and the upstairs dining room where we were sat was pretty full. By the time we left around 9 pm (visiting with friends), the entire restaurant was empty even though the hours said they were open until 11. Food was quite good. We ordered veal schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, stuffed schnitzel and their mushroom sauce covered chicken schnitzel. We also had their wurst platter as an appetizer. Server was very attentive, food arrived quickly, all orders were correct, and hot. Overall we really enjoyed the food and will likely be going back. I can understand where some folks felt it fell a little flat flavor-wise but for me the break from over salted dishes was refreshing.

Great local Bavarian restaurant in Old Town! It's family-run and you can tell at every step from the service to the food. Each dish we ordered was fantastic! Even the bread was so good and extremely fresh. Highly recommend the beef goulash soup and chicken schnitzel! Will certainly be back again soon.

Sometimes the perfect place comes along and knocks your socks off. That is old house cosmopolitan! Some solid schnitzel (pork, chicken, or veal), super crisp fries, easy beer selection, and much more. I will be frequenting this place whenever I need a reminder that life ain't so bad!

A great surprise! Fiancé and I were supposed to go somewhere else but decided to go somewhere closer to Mount purnon instead, so we chose Old House Cosmopolitan! The food was delicious, the servers were friendly, and the atmosphere was just what we needed in a rainy Saturday night! The schnitzel was really good. I highly recommend it.

We've been to Cosmopolitan three times now. Usually we are seated upstairs. On my first visit, I fell in love with the spatzl, a pasta with great texture, size, shape and taste. So the first two times here, I ordered the Zuricher Geschnetzeltes - veal strips in a mushroom sauce served with spatzl. This dish is dellcious! This time around, JP ordered the Seafood Special: mussels, shrimp, scallops, crab cakes, zucchini and asparagus. They had run out of scallops so they offered an extra crab cake as compensation. Deal accepted! The Seafood Special was spot on! Tonight, I didn't want meat so I ordered the Kase Spatzl, hoping the spatzl was going to be like it was in the Zuricher Geschnetzeltes spatzl dish. Unfortunately, the Kase Spatzl disappointed me. The spatzl was caked with a dry and stiff cheese and cream mixture. Flavor was good and to be sure, it was all eaten. My lesson learned is to just order spatzl off the Sides menu, that'll get me how I want it prepared. But then too the Kase Spatzl salad dressing was a bit oily and a tad salty. Having said all that, service was stellar as always!
